Homework
*Please check and empty your child's homework folder every night.
Homework is assigned each night. Your child will write all assignments in his or her planner. Crossing out or checking assignments as they are done give your child a sense of accomplishment, and makes sure he or she has completed all the work. Your child should work on his or her homework in a quiet place with few distractions. If your child is having difficulty with a specific assignment, please write me a note so that we can review and work on it.
Daily Homework:
Independent Reading (IR) - 20 minutes
Reading Log
Stop and Jot post-its
Writing Workshop/Social Buddies:
To help students elaborate with specific details and enhance their communication and social skills, please send in family photos of one specific family event, trip, or special experience that you spent together.
(Some Ideas: anniversary party, BBQ, trip to amusement park, ballgame, beach day, camping, museum, wedding, restaurant visit)
